This is a great community of believers that push each other to become more like Jesus everyday. My wife and I have been going to Southpoint for 10 years and for the first few years we loved the messages but weren’t really connecting with people. I prayed about it and God said stop focusing on yourself and focus on the people around you. After that, we started serving more and getting more involved and everything changed. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else on a Sunday morning!

I moved to Jacksonville 5 years ago from Indiana not knowing a single person. After my first Sunday at Southpoint, I got plugged in with a Lifegroup and started serving and met some of the most amazing people. From being a student, to a young professional, to getting married, in the past 5 years I have had such sweet community in each season of life because of this church. The sermons each week are encouraging and convicting. Praise and worship consists of some of the most humble people I’ve met. Leadership never backs down from sharing the truth of scripture, even when it’s unpopular in culture today. And I love that they help and encourage you to read your Bible every day. After 21 years in Indiana I never read the entire Bible and in 5 years at Southpoint I’ve read the Bible all the way through 4 times. I’m so thankful the Lord has used Southpoint to draw me closer to Him.

I have been going here for 21 years and love it now more than ever. It is filled with amazing people who are growing in their relationship with Jesus. That also means we are not perfect and that is why we go. We need Jesus to help us every day. Come see if this is the place God has for you.

I've been attending Southpoint for over two years. Staff is always willing to help, security doesn't play games when it comes to the safety of the children or others. I feel safe, welcomed, and definitely feel God moving there. The negative reviews I've read on here are pretty far fetched. Signs are posted no drinks in the auditorium. They offer sitting at the coffee shop if you wish to sip and listen. Children are not expected to be quiet in the main Sancturary, however please be curious of others. They will NOT ask you leave because of your baby making noises. I am a regular attender, and a volunteer and I have to say one visit is NOT going to show you everything a Church has to offer either. They gather so much money to help the city, missions trips, and those who need help it's unreal. The staff is also very busy. It took a few weeks for the pastor to follow up with me after my first visit. But I'll tell you this, they didn't forget me either and always remember what we've talked about. They care. The Lord is definitely moving through Southpoint.
